Obituary of Patricia Muir

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Marion (MacLeod) Muir.

Born to the late Watson and Anna MacLeod on Nov. 5, 1954, she was one on ten siblings in a tight knit Catholic Family. She lived her life for her faith and her family.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth; children Watson (Cherrie) Muir, Barbara Scott, Joanne (Anthony) Malloy and Peter (Natasha) Muir; grand children, Avery, Simone, Mark, Cole, Anna, Vance, Leia, Nicholas, and Lachlan; sisters Janet Crowell, Mary (Richard ) Breen, Gloria (Drew) Hansen, Joan (Ansel) Campbell and Donna (Warren) Stinson; brothers Jim MacLeod, Gregor (Jo-Ann) MacLeod, John (Kenda) MacLeod, Sandy (Shan) MacLeod; brother-in-law Gary (Jane) Muir; sister-in-law Debbie Muir and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mom was a life long member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She loved gardening, cooking, diet Pepsi, and especially more than anything, her grand children.  She ran her heart and home with an open door policy, all were welcome.  She was one of a kind. A force to be reckoned with, she fearlessly battled a long illness in hopes of seeing her “boys” Nicholas and Lachlan grow up.

In her earlier years, she was a hairdresser at Skoke’s Hairstyling. She went on to teach at St. Joseph’s Academy and worked in the kitchen at the Aberdeen Hospital.

We would like to thank the Palliative Care Team, especially Debbie Williams who was her guardian angel through it all.

Mom is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Her funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday March 31 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father MacDonald Ibeh officiating. Interment will be in Auburn Cemetery, Westville.

“We miss you Mama. You are our centre,
our light, our sun. You are the voice
of reason and our comfort. The best
cook I know, the giver of
unconditional love . Thank you. This
world was a better place for having
you in it. God is lucky to have you back
. ”
