Obituary of Ann Cormier

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of June Elizabeth “Ann” Cormier, 75, of Westville on March 28, 2022. Ann was surrounded by her family as she passed and will be deeply missed. 

Ann, loving and dedicated mother to a family of three, was brought into this world on October 4, 1946, to Daniel and Irene Kennedy. Being a life-long resident of Westville, Ann raised her children with her husband, David, in her family home, which was a welcoming stop for many friends, family and neighbour children over the years. 

Ann was a passionate gardener and when she wasn’t filling her home with love and kindness, she could be found in her flower garden and tending to her house plants.  Ann could also be heard cheering loudly for the Toronto Blue Jays and was always up to the challenge for a game of cards, especially with her sister, Mary. 

Most of all, Ann was a devoted wife and loving mother. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, David; children Davy (Tammy) Cormier, Debbie (Jody) Best-Cormier, Dwayne (Angela) Cormier; grandchildren Jason (Heidi), Blake, Jesse and Dahlia; sisters Colleen (Dave) Zdan, Cathy (John) White, Mary (Elwood) Fraser; brothers Jimmy Kennedy, Billy (Colleen) Kennedy and Johnny (Faye) Kennedy; her very special nephew Christopher (Samantha) Fraser; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Martha (Charles) Fraser and her special aunt Margie McLaughlin.

Her family will receive visitors on Friday, April 1 from 11 -12:30 at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.  Her funeral service will be held 1 o’clock Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev.
