Obituary of Lyall Mahoney

Lyall M. Mahoney, age 65, Westville, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Marion (Campbell) Mahoney and the late Ray Mahoney. Lyall was a welder by trade and worked for 45 years at Trenton Works. Besides his mother, Lyall is survived by three sisters, Marion Kenny (Lloyd), Stellarton; Patti Brophy (Pat), Lourdes; Elizabeth Fraser, Stellarton; four brothers, Raphaèl (Marion), Pictou; Mike (Marcia), Lyons Brook; Paul, Stellarton; Peter (Susan), New Glasgow; and companion Pat Fleming, Westville. He was predeceased by his father Ray; brother-in-law, Weldon Fraser; and niece Janet Lee Mahoney. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. There will be a family service at a later date. Burial in our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
