Obituary of Emily Marshall

Emily Marshall age 91, of Westville, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Ned and Anna (Shepard) Deagle.

She is survived by children, Debbie Marshall, Allister Forsythe (Janice), Jacqualine Fanning (Jack), Bob Marshall (Marion), Jack Marshall (Judy), Howard Marshall (Jean), Paul Marshall and Isabel Forsythe; daughter-in-law Judy Forsythe; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by sister Isabel Salter and brother Gordon Deagle (Joan); special niece Snookie Hirtle and several nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her first husband Joe Forsythe and second husband Jack Marshall; son Joe and son-in-law Lawrence Marshall; brother Ruben “Buddy” Deagle (Eleanor) and sister Marion Salter (Bud); infant grand children Howie and Vicki Lynn;  grand nephew Rick Graham and brothers-in-law Allie Salter.

Emily loved doing puzzles, reading and bowled for over 50 years.  She enjoyed her Monday night card club for 50 years, Bingo, watching curling and figure skating.  Most of all she enjoyed family gatherings and drives.  Emily worked at Tommy Carrigan’s Grocery Store for many years and also baked for many years for organizations and people.  A special thank you to Dr. Forbes, Dr. Rivera and staff, Dr. Hack, and to the Palliative Care at home.  A special thanks to her niece Theresa Dooley who did the nursing care the last week, who went above and beyond.  

Emily is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Her funeral service will be held 11 o’clock Saturday, July 30 at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev.
