Obituary of Jean Ross

Jean Isabel Ross, 91, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.

Born in Westville, March 23, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Hiram and Hazel (Morrison) Thompson.

Jean was a graduate of Victoria General School of Nursing, class of 1951.  She pursued her career in the Aberdeen Hospital as well as private nursing.  She eventually left nursing to work as a bookkeeper for her husband Bob’s business including Bob Ross Service Station and Restaurant as well as his construction business.

She is survived by her brother Rev. Gerald Thompson; sister Shirley E. Thompson M.D., St. Johns, NFLD; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Robert G. “Bob” Ross; sister Helen Elizabeth; brothers, Kelvin, Warren, John, Gordon, and Wilfred Thompson.  

Jean is resting at Eagles Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, September 15th from 1-2, her funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.  Interment will be in the Auburn Cemetery.
