Obituary of Kathleen "Kathy" Miller
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Miller (Mullins) , 63 of White Hill, Pictou County on December 3 ,2022.
Kathy was born on February 8,1959 in Pictou, daughter of the late Edward J. and Margaret (Peggy) Mullins.
Kathy was an avid hockey and baseball fan and loved cheering on her favourite teams; The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays. Her collection of books was extensive, reading being on of her favourite past times. Kathy’s love for Christmas was evident in the joy she shared with others especially on Christmas Eve at our family gathering.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband Roddie of 37 years, siblings Maureen Buell, Ottawa Jim (Dawn)Mullins, Ottawa; sisters-in-law Ferne Mullins, Coldbrook; Florence Miller, New Glasgow, Maureen(Tom) Lays, Porters Lake, Sharlene (Norman) MacLeod, Durham, Brenda (Bobby) Gordon, Millbrook, Denise (Gordie) Marr, White Hill and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother David Mullins, sister Anne Mullins, infant sister Judy and brother-in-law Pete Buell.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home Westville on Tuesday Dec 6th from 2-4 and 7-9. Masks are encouraged.
Her funeral service will be held at the Holy Name Church Westville on Wednesday Dec 7th at 11 am with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery at a later date.
Her family would like to send special thanks to the VON, Dr. Kwasnik, Dr. Farrell, Dr. Horton and all the Palliative Care team at the Aberdeen Hospital. Your kindness and excellent care will not be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers donations maybe made in Kathy’s memory to the Palliative Care Unit, Aberdeen Hospital.
