Obituary of Ramona DeYoung

“Well my friends I have to go now on a new adventure.  I didn’t really want to go, I fought very hard to stay but this old body just had enough.  Ten years is a long time to fight this old cancer.  I have done everything I could to beat it.  But by fighting and not giving in I gained ten wonderful years to spend with my family.  I will miss you all very much.

Timmy thank you for all you have done for me for being the best husband any girl could ever ask for.  I know it wasn’t easy but you had my back all the time and for that I thank you.  I love you my darling.

My children  Marcy and P.J.  You are my world.  And you both have made me a very proud mama.  I loved you from the moment you were born and I carry that love with me now.  My grandchildren Hunter (nan’s boy) and my gorgeous twins Thea and Dax, I am so very glad to have been able to spend those years with you.  I am so proud of you all.  I know you will grow up to be very happy and good  well adjusted people cause you have the best parents in the world.

My sisters.  Wow what a ride we had together.  The best of times and the worst of times but we always had each other.  I will miss our get togethers and all the laughter we had when we got together.  Love you all.

My friends to many to mention but in the end you all know who you are.  Your the ones who prayed for me, cried and laughed with me and never left my side in the end.  I am so grateful for you all.  You all have my heart.

Don’t be sad for me, remember all the great times.  Remember me with a beer, a story or two and a lot of laughter.  I look forward to this new chapter and seeing all my loved ones again.  My mom and dad, my grand-parents, my father-in-law, my son-in-law Fred, my brother-in-law Dave and my nephew Tyler.  So Fred keep the beer cold, Dave get the Kismet sheets ready and Tyler lots of hugs for you.

Left with lots of memories my husband Timmy DeYoung, my children Marcy Barkhouse (Rob), P.J. Woodley and Kathryn.  My grandchildren Hunter Barkhouse and Daxton and Thea Woodley.  My six sisters, Cathy MCCaughin, Patsy Noseworthy, Louise Baldwin (Tim) Glendene Beals (Rod)  Karla Sooley (Roy)  Tracy Wells (Jim).  Nieces and Nephews,  Rob, Jason and Melissa, Mekinna, Chelsea and Nikita, Cameron and Erika and Vince.  Many other cousins and friends.

To my Golden girls I don’t know what I’d do without you.  My special friends Gary Chambers, Kate Boyce and family I love you all.

Special thanks to Dr. Randy Burrill, Dr. Morzycki and his team, Rachel from Palliative Care and the many V.O.N. who helped with her care.”
