Obituary of Audrey Doggett

Audrey Doreen Doggett, 95, Green Hill, Pictou Co. passed away peacefully at Valley View Villa, January 10, 2023.

 
Born in Westville, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Hannah Darroch and was the last remaining member of her immediate family.   
She was a former employee of Hawker Siddeley Canada Ltd., working in Customer Service from where she retired.  Never one to back away from a challenge, Audrey was a self-taught and accomplished crafter and baker, creating countless knit, crochet and needlepoint treasures and many will remember her baked Christmas treat trays.   And that seafood casserole !  

She is survived by daughter Wendy Gillis (Cyril), grandson Peter Joseph (Janelle), granddaughter Auna Joseph (Kurt), great grandsons Trae Gough, Jalen Gough, Nick Beck and Anthony Joseph and great granddaughter, her namesake, Audrey Joseph.  

Audrey was predeceased by husband of 54 years Alex,  son Allan, sisters Elizabeth, Esther, Mae, and Viola and brothers Henry, Garfield, Andrew, Sidney, Allan, John, George and Jimmie.  

Cremation has taken place.  At Audrey’s request there will be no visitation or service.  Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester where she will rest with Alex and Allan.Donations in Audrey’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or a charity of choice.
