Obituary of Dawn MacLeod

Dawn Carol MacLeod, age 76, of New Glasgow passed away peacefully with family on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Harry and Tilly MacLeod.

Dawn was born in Prince Edward Island and moved to Nova Scotia at a young age and later moved to Ontario before returning to Nova Scotia to retire.  Dawn worked on various offices as a secretary.  She enjoyed reading, gardening and most of all her beloved cats.

Dawn is survived by her sister Margaret “Bunny” MacKay, New Glasgow; brothers Milford MacLeod (Judy), Mississauga, Ont. and Sheldon MacLeod, Pictou; as well as many nieces and nephews and good friend Brian Williams.    

Dawn was predeceased by her parents; her sister Joyce Rae; nephew Donnie MacKay; brothers-in-law Russell Rae and George MacKay.

There will be no visitation.  A private burial service will take place in Gladstone Cemetery.  Donations in memory of Dawn can be made to the S.P.C.A.
