Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 10th  at Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating.  

Obituary of Eleanor Cameron

Eleanor “Ellie” May Cameron (Worth), formerly of Mount Thom, passed way peacefully Monday,  February 6th at the Aberdeen Hospital with family by her side at the age of 72.

Born December 10th, 1950, Ellie was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Jean (Gratto) Worth. 

Ellie is survived by one daughter Jo-Ann Cameron, New Glasgow; two grandchildren, Jamie (Leah) Miller, New Glasgow, Amanda (Nick) Miller, Hopewell; 4 great grandchildren, Travis, Brandon, Brooklyn, and Carson. 

Ellie is also survived by brothers,  Arthur (Linda) Worth, Mount Thom, Dave (Corrine) Worth, Central West River;   sisters,  Linda (Billy) Dunn, Greenhill,  and Carol (Wayne) Druhan, Westville; her companion and brother-in-law Keith Cameron; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, Loudell (Tony) Stedman, Alvin (Glenda) Cameron, Blair (Edie) Cameron, and Allister Silver.  

Ellie was predeceased by her husband Wesley Cameron;  sisters Marsha Cameron, Florence Harris, and Barb Fraser; sister-in-law Ruth Silver and brothers-in-law Chester “Chettie” Cameron and Ronald Fraser.     

Ellie had a great sense of humour and you never knew what she was going to say. Ellie also was a strong and hard working independent woman who took great pride in her family. She enjoyed cooking big meals for her family, and helping the community any way she could. Ellie worked as a P.C.W. and cared for many people in their homes over the years. Ellie also attended St Luke’s Presbyterian Church, Salt Springs doing many things to help out.

She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to know 
her.

Her family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, February 9th , at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 10th  at Eagles Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barb Fotheringham officiating.  Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.  There will be a reception to follow after the funeral at the West River Fire Hall.
