Obituary of Brad Lacey
It is with sadness we announce the death of Harold Bradford “Brad” Lacey, RSE of Westville, on Sunday, February 19, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital with his family by his side.
Born in New Glasgow on December 15, 1963, he was a son of Harold and Emily (Haslam) Lacey of Westville.
Brad graduated from Westville High School in 1982 and graduated from Pictou Regional Vocational School in 1986 as a machinist apprentice. After a couple of years he achieved Interprovincial Machinist Certification while working for 35 years at MacGregor’s Custom Machining. Target shooting and hunting were his passions for his entire life. He enjoyed spending time at the hunting camp with the guys and many moose hunting trips with the guys to Newfoundland and Cape Breton, where he landed a huge Bull. He raised and trained three hunting dogs and enjoyed spending time at his farm in Rocklin.
Another passion was his and Brian’s 1965 GTO which they spent time restoring for the past 32 years and attending a car show now and then.
He will be sadly missed by his parents and by his brother Brian (Diana), Eastern Passage; aunts Beverly (Brent) Cameron and Cheryl Lynds.
Brad was predeceased by his grandparents Leonard and Violet (Favier) Lacey and Harry and Ethel (MacDonald) Haslam; and aunt Joyce Gordon (Arnold).
Special thanks to his Doctors and the staff in Palliative Care at the Aberdeen Hospital, Dr. Rivera and many family and friends that visited or called.
