Obituary of Gloria Morse
Gloria Thelma Morse, 69, of Westville, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Grande Pré, on August 19, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Carroll and Christine (Walsh) Rhyno.
She retired as a manager for Ross Ladies Wear, New Glasgow, where she worked for 23 years. She was past President of the Aberdeen Hospital Ladies Auxilliary; Past President of New Glasgow Downtown Development Corp.; Past President of the Ceilidh Pipe Band Association; and was the present President of the Holy Name C.W.L. and was a member of the Red Hatters Society.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 51 years, James Lorimer Morse "Jim"; daughter Mary-Khristine Stubbert (George), North Sydney; sons, Jamie (Margaret), Tampa Bay; Robb (Marlene Mason), Amherst; Lawrence (Molly), Stellarton; ten grandchildren; and sister Carrollee Rose Day (Merrick), Kentville.
Visitations will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. The Holy Name C.W.L. will recite prayers 4 o’clock Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Wednesday from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Donald Boudreau and Father Evo DiPierro officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will by in Grand Pré at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society; the V.O.N. , or a charity of one’s choice.
