Obituary of Joyce Pederson

The death of Sharon “Joyce” Pederson, 76 of Watervale occurred on Sunday, May 7, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. 

Born in Riverton on December 22, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Chalmers and Della (Corbett) MacKay. 

Joyce had retired early du to ill health and became a full time home maker.  She loved to crochet, especially afghans which were evident throughout her home.  She also like to do plastic canvas work as well as word find books as a hobby. She was an adherent of St. Lukes United Church, Salt Springs. 

Joyce will be dearly missed by her daughters, Judy, at home, Sandra Foance (Raymond “Robert”), Dartmouth, several nieces and nephews and close friends Joan MacGee and Doreen Oregan who have been a great help over the years. 

She  was predeceased by her husband, Carl; infant daughter Lisa Dawn; sister Marion Dickie (Guy) and brothers Doug (June) and Wilbert MacKay and step father Percy Emery and step brothers Brent and Les Emery.
