Obituary of Alan Reine

It is with sadness we announce the death of Alan Frederick Reine, 51 of Pictou formerly of Westville. Alan passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital with family by his side.

Born in Richmond, BC, on Nov. 26, 1971, he is the son of Penny (Burgie) Reine (Arnold Langille) and Alan Reine.

Alan worked for various carnivals both in BC and the Maritimes. He enjoyed W.W.E and playing darts but his greatest passion was playing pool and was a member of the Pictou County Pool League and the Eight Ball Association.

He is survived by his parents;  his daughter Alyssa Porier (William); brother Gerry (Angela Henderson); companion Elda Daley-MacKenzie; nieces and nephew April Currie (Jory), Katelynn Hughes (John Pitts), Robin Hughes and Keith Reine; great nephews Andrew Currie and Benjamin Reine and his uncle Alex Burgie.  

Alan was predeceased by his maternal grand parents Gerald and Muriel (Cyr) Burgie.

Thank you to the the Aberdeen  Palliative Care Unit  and 4th Floor Nurses as well as the Pool League for the assistance given throughout Alan’s illness. 

Alan is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Sunday from 6-8 pm and Monday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. His funeral service will be held 2 o’clock Tuesday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor officiating.
