Obituary of Valerie Vacheresse

Valerie E. Vacheresse, age 61, of New Glasgow, formerly of Afton, passed away suddenly, June 21, 2023 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.  

Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late James and Eileen (Boudreau) Vacheresse, Afton.

Val was a kind loving person who loved a good cup of tea, vacations, socializing, drives and music, despite her physical disability.  She never let it slow her down and never complained, was always concerned about everyone else.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and  also at Summers Street Industries.
                    
She is survived by two brothers James (Edith), Edmonton and Garfield, Bear River; sister Clarita Marshall (Tuggie), Westville; 3 nephews Kevin Gratto (Hallee), Edwin Gratto (Tiffany), Little Harbour and Dale Gratto, New Glasgow.  

She was predeceased by her sister Bernadette Gratto.

Cremation has taken place.  There will be no visitation by her request. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Peter MacDonald officiating.  Burial will be in St. Peter’s Parish Cemetery, Tracadie at a later date.
