Obituary of Doug Lawrence

It is with profound sadness the Lawrence family announce the passing of Steven Douglas (Doug) Lawrence, in the early morning hours of July 1st, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer. 

Doug worked at Big 8 Beverages for 37 years before retiring in August 2022. Doug had a love for camping with his beloved wife Connie, fishing with best friend Jay Lloyd, hunting with his family, and enjoying his TV shows. Doug was a big tea drinker, and enjoyed his tea time with cousin Ricky Myers. 

Doug is survived by his beloved wife Connie Lawrence (Williams), Daughter Crystal Lawrence (Jason Farrell), son Joey Lawrence (Jennifer Harris), son Jordan Lawrence (Holly Lawrence), mother Sharon Lawrence, In-laws Calvin & Sherry Williams, brother Wayne Lawrence (Anne), brother Darrell Lawrence (Rose), sister Darlene Crockett (Allan), brother-in-law Barry Williams, and chosen daughter Gale Langille. Doug will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Summer, Leland, Alex, Blake, Brooklynn, Scarlett, Nolie & Asia. Step-grandchildren Emily, Samantha & Hunter. Chosen grandchildren Cameron & Maxximus; as well as his many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. 

Doug is predeceased by father Barry Lawrence, brother Whitman Lawrence, great niece Lilly Lawrence & chosen son Mikey Rogers.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a family celebration of life for Doug as per his wishes. 

The family wishes to thank all the wonderful nurses and doctors who cared for Doug in any way during his Illness. Any donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital.
