Obituary of Harvey Lochead

It is with profound sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of Harvey Wayne Lochead on July 11, 2023.

Harvey was born on May 3, 1969 in New Glasgow to Harvey “Roddick” Lochead and the late Nancy (Spanks) Lochead. 

He was raised and went to school in Pictou County.  Later in his teens he moved to New Brunswick and he graduated from Oromocto High School.  It was here he met his wife the late Sandra Bootle.  They soon moved to Calgary, Alberta and made a home there for many years.  Later Harvey returned to Pictou County and cooked in several restaurants and managed the KFC in Pictou, finishing his career at Michelin Tire.  He will be remembered for his love of Poker and playing the Grinch at parades.

He will be sadly missed by his father Harvey and step mother Debbie Lochead; his children, Dalton, Erica, Jenna and grand-daughter Addison, of Calgary;   his brothers and sisters, Margaret Ellen Leese, Alex Lochead (Kim), Katelyn Sheppard (Brian), Kelly Goodall (Erin), Pam Goodall (Devon), Nathan Goodall (Lisa), Wayne Spanks (Naomi), all of Pictou County, and sister Tracy Fukes (Drew), North Carolina.  He will be also missed by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and special friend Jessi Cotter.

Besides his mother and his wife he was predeceased by a brother Preston.
