Obituary of Darryl Rhyno
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Darryl Leigh Rhyno of Plymouth. He passed away on July 17th, 2023 at the age of 59.
Darryl was the son of the late Emmerson and Mabel (Smith) Rhyno.
Darryl will be dearly missed by his friends at 25 MacBeth Road. Darryl was a client of Summer Street until his retirement of 39 years of service. Some of Darryl’s many passions included coloring, playing guitar, listening to music and celebrating birthdays. According to Darryl life was better with pizza and birthday cake.
He is survived by siblings Shirley (John Alvin) MacCabe, Jack (Norma)Rhyno, Linda Rhyno, Janet Taylor, Wayne (Betty Anne) Rhyno, Robert (Brenda)Rhyno; cherished niece and nephew Rachel and Dwayne McCabe, great nieces Tristen and Destiny and fur babies Mocha and Molly who watched over him during his holiday visits. Many nephews and nieces.
Darryl will be dearly missed by his friends at 25 MacBeth Road Gordon MacKinnon, Frank Dorrington, Remi Pelerine, Alison Gallant, David Williams, Bernie Flemming and staff of Highland Community Services where he brightened the home for 40 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Emmerson and Mabel (Smith) Rhyno and infant brother. Also his MacBeth Road peers Michael Devane, Susan Fraser, Holly Cunningham and Claire Connolly.
Darryl loved music and attending many concerts throughout the province. He especially loved Christmas and spending the holidays with his sister Shirley and his MacCabe family in Loch Broom.
The family and staff at HCRS would like to thank VON staff and Aberdeen Palliative Care, and Dr. Tom Park for all their exemplary care of Darryl. Family flowers only and Donations in Darryl’s name / memory can be made to Highland Community Residential Services.
A visitation will be held Thursday July 20th from 6-8 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service will take place on Friday July 21st at 11a.m. in Eagles Funeral Chapel with the Rev.
