Hello
I am just scrolling the obits looking for something else. There is Lynn, my heart just broke. I've know Lynn since she worked at the hospital. They didn't deserve her. She was often my bright light on darker days. I feel so terrible that I don't know until today. She helped me decide on my first trip down south. I hope her illness was not long. We didn't talk often after she left work, but she certainly shone above alot of others.
She will be missed by all who knew her.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear about your sister, Lynn. She seemed to have been a remarkable woman who is gone far too soon.
And I am sad to think how painful your heart is at this time for you, your family and the abundance of friends surrounding your family.

Thank you Irma. You too were a wonderful friend and neighbour to both Lynn and Mom. Clearly Lynn has left this earth on a very high note. The stories and the love that have been shared with us this week have been so incredible. It has made a very difficult week so much easier for us. As she will always remain “ my kid sister” all I can say is what a kid. Mom and Dad would be so proud of her.

Condolences to the family. I met Lynn years ago through our common friends Diane and Morris Campbell. Lynn was kind, caring, considerate and “Compassionate”. The component of ACTION is what separates compassion from empathy, sympathy, pity, concern, condolence, sensitivity, tenderness, commiseration or any other compassion synonym.

I have known Lynn as Joyce's sister for 40 years. However, it is only in the past year that I learned what a truly caring person she was. I had a prolonged stay in hospital/rehab/convalescence. Lynn emailed me every day and was my strongest cheerleader. At one point, she observed that my messages were showing a decline in spirits. She tenaciously bugged Joyce until she gave Lynn my number. She called me, I cried, she said all the right things and I felt better. Unbeknownst to me, after that call she "ordered" Joyce and Paul to send me funny Facebook things to keep up my spirits. And a large package of Purdys chocolates showed up in my mail, as another way to keep my spirits up. Lynn was an integral part of my recovery and I don't know what I would have done without her. I am sure that there are many stories like mine. Her fierce loyalty and dogged persistence are qualities that the world needs more of. My world has a Lynn shaped hole in it now. I will miss her.

Thank you so much Luanne. You really got to see and feel the true Lynn in the past year. Miss Lynn, as I affectionately called her, was one of the kindest, most caring people that I know. She might have been the shortest person in our family but she had the biggest heart I am sure. Take care.

To Lynn’s Family: It was heartbreaking to learn of Lynn’s sudden passing. I knew Lynn as a member of St. Paul United church. Upon meeting her for the first time, I was immediately drawn to her outgoing personality, charm and wit. She will be missed and always remembered for her many hours of dedicated service to our church and community. A dear friend, gone too soon……

Dear family and friends of Lynn, we are heartbroken to hear this news. Lynn cared for our son, Will, as an infant and beginnings of toddlerhood. There are no words to sum up the kindness, caring, and love that Lynn brought into our home during that precious time. A beautiful quilt (a gift of many) that Lynn made for Will is a staple of our playroom. Lynn touched the hearts of so many in our community… Rest In Peace Lynn. Rachel, Allen, Allie, and “your little man”, Will MacKenzie

And what memory does one share..there are so, so many…we have a JD suite in our home..when we first built our home several years ago, Lynn took a look at the guest suite and decided that it was hers..for when she wanted or needed it..no nursing home for her..she had the JD suite..and JD means Juvenile Delinquent - Bob’s nickname of Lynn…she so loved her Habs, a fresh line of wash and her family, the one she was born into and her chosen on….
