Obituary of George MacLean

George Thomas MacLean, 68, Rocklin formerly of Stellarton passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late George and Mary (Davidson) MacLean. George was a carpenter by trade, working with Irving and with Eastern Mainland Housing prior to his retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, and best friend of 40 years Elva (Hemwood); brothers, David (Beth) and Victor (Michelle); sister, Helen; sisters-in-law, Anne and Darlene (John); and many relatives. He is predeceased by an infant brother Howard; his parents-in-law Robert and Evelyn Hemwood. Arrangements are entrusted to Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral by request of the family. Family wishes to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Wood, nurses and staff of the Dixon Centre, to the staff of the Aberdeen Hospital, to our family and friends for their support during the time of his illness. Your kindness, caring, and compassion are greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
