Obituary of Reta Paddon

Reta Agnes Paddon, age 80, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital, with her family by her side.

Born in Westville on June 22, 1942 , she was a daughter of the late George and Marie (MacDonald) Ryan. 

Reta being a humble, modest person enjoyed her home where she welcomed everyone. She worked at various restaurants throughout her working career.  

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Elizabeth Robson (David); sons Robert (Lynn) and Jason (Patricia); 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.   She is also survived by sisters, Kathleen “Kit” Betts, Mary Ann Corning, Josie Forshner and Eleanor Halliday; brothers, John, Alex (Karen) and Michael (Connie) Ryan, sister -in-law, Geraldine Ryan and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Reta was predeceased by an infant grandchild Robert;  her brothers, Archie and Hughie, sisters, Ella Mae Jessie Burke, and Ann Lennon,  and 4 infant brothers and sisters.  

Her family will receive visitors at the home of her daughter Elizabeth (74 Main Street, Trenton) on Thursday, August 31 from 3-5 p.m.
