Cathy, my condolences to you and your family. I had the privilege of being Les’s DND nurse case manager in Ottawa. He was such a lovely man who cared very deeply about his family and making sure you would be near family when he was gone. This Remembrance Day I will have a drink in his honor. Sending hugs, Anna Boyechko

I was fortunate enough to meet Les during his time working with Knelsen up in Cold Lake. We hit it off from the first time we met and Les became a mentor to me. Les was always there to answer the 'dumb questions' people are usually hesitant to ask their coworkers. If he didn't have the answer, he would make sure he found it. It was a sad day when he left his position with Knelsen and moved out East. My one wish is that the Oilers and Leaf's would play each other in playoffs. Neither of us would have heard the end of it!!!
Condolences to Cathy and the family!!! RIP Les!!!!!

I wish send my condolences and have some very found memories of Les over his career as a trucker and most recently working with him on the MISL project. He had many smiles to share with everyone and I am very proud to have served with him.

My sincere condolences to Cathy and Les' family. I was Les' Platoon Commander back in our Edmonton days. He was one of my best troops and it was my honour to serve with him at home and overseas. Of course we had plenty of time on the ice together and I will always remember his competitiveness, humour and amazing personality. You will be missed by all Les, RIP brother.

Cathy, my sincere condolences to you and family. I met Les in Borden playing hockey. We had so much fun him being a Maple Leafs Fan and me a Habs fan. We always had our Stanley Cup Challenge Maple Leafs and Habs. Les I will miss our Saturday Night argument about a perfect Saturday when the maple Leafs won and the Habs lost and bugging you about early exit in the playoff. Les I am sure you are already arguing about the Leafs and Habs while playing hockey like you loved. Get the ice ready till we meet again.

I was saddened to hear about Les’ passing. Remembering him as a proud MSE Op and member of the CAF, awesome hockey player (though his NHL team taste was questionable - we had great banters about that). However, the most memorable thing was his love for Cathy and his children. My sincerest condolences to his loved ones and hoping that the many amazing memories he left behind bring you console as well as knowing how much he was loved/appreciated by so many

Have known Cathy & her family since 1978 on parents posting in Germany. Met Cathy's children in Base Borden but Les was away so never got to meet this Iconic person. The love they shared with everyone through their journey is very memorable. Memories are forever & the candle will always burn bright.

My condolences to Cathy and the family on the passing of Les. He put up a great fight. I met Les at 1Svc Bn in 1996 and we remained friends throughout our careers both being MSE OPs. I told Les last year that I would cheer for his Maple Leafs to win the cup and even though I'm a habs fan I will continue to do so in his memory.
