Obituary of Diane Rehill

Barbara Diane Rehill, 78, of Westville, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 in the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in New Glasgow on August 12, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Jackson) Halliday of Westville.

Diane grew up in Westville, then moved out west to Alberta where she worked as a Manager of Administration at the Edmonton International Airport.  Upon her retirement she moved back to her hometown of Westville with her husband Reg to be with family.  

Diane enjoyed her summers at Seafoam with her special fur babies where she also enjoyed the ocean and watching the beautiful birds and wildlife.  

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Denise Henaut (Gerry Karhut); son Leigh Henaut; step-sons Dan Rehill (Kathy), Tim Rehill (Lee), and stepdaughter Cheryl Rehill; grandchildren, Tyler Lalonde (Jolene), Alex Lalonde and Ben, Mike Rehill (Corinne), Ryan Rehill (Danille), Cabe and Nolan; great grandchildren Harley Lalonde, Brayden Lalonde, and Sophie Rehill.  

She is also survived by brothers Allie Halliday (Margie), John Halliday (Gloria), Rick Halliday; sisters, Dawn Matheson (John Lennon), and Shelley Clyburn; and sister in law Susan Halliday; many nieces, nephews and special grand niece Charlee;   and her precious fur baby Marley.

She was predeceased by her husband Reg; father and mother Cecil and Mary; brother Billy Halliday; brother in law Doug Clyburn;   nephew Jimmy; special grand nieces Layla “Lady Bug” and Karmen. 

There will be no visitations or funeral service by request.  A grave side committal service will be made at a later date.  Donations may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care of Pictou County S.P.C.A.
