Obituary of Emily Bell

The death of Emily Louise Bell, 81, of Westville, occurred on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Valley View Villa, Riverton.

Born in Westville on January 29 1942, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Cottie) McLaughlin. 

Emily moved to Toronto as a young lady where she met her husband Ken eventually returning to home to Westville to enjoy her local family and retirement.  Before moving to Valley View Villa in 2021, she resided on Foxbrook Road and Porter’s Lane.

She will be missed by her local family, sister Marion Cyr, Westville; sister-in-law Jenny McLaughlin, Pictou; special Cyr nieces, Heather, Debbie, Pam and Marion “Mimi”and several other nieces and nephews.  

She was predeceased by her husband Ken; sister Dorothy and brothers Robert, Joseph “Buddy” and Bernie McLaughlin. 

There will be no visitations by request. A grave side service will be held 1 pm Sunday, Nov. 26     at MacLeod Cemetery, Fox Brook with the Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating.
