Sending deep condolences to Sybil Bill Jr Denise and families. I remember the Frew family who lived across the street on Penhorn Dr in Dartmouth. I used to babysit “Billy” and Denise.
I recall warm memories of them and especially the hand crafted Christmas socks Sybil made for me and my now husband.
Bill was a very kind and friendly soul. I believe my Dad bought a car from him.
Again condolences and sorry for your loss.

To Bill’s family: we were saddened to learn of Bill’s passing and send along heartfelt condolences to all.Had known Bill for 60 yrs.or so and don’t recall ever seeing him in a bad disposition mood..was always pleasant as was his companion Florence. He was in every sense of the word a true gentleman,as others have all pointed out. We shared a great laugh many times and memorably when his father Isaac’s house was being moved and he wouldn’t get out and wanted to play the piano all the way to the new site..the movers didn’t know what to do and called me as the MLA ..”told him to let him stay in and play all the way!! Which he happily did…anytime I saw Bill he and I would Re share the story.Westville has lost a fine citizen.
Sincerely,
JackMacIsaac

So sorry for your families loss. Bill was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. I first met Bill when I started in the car business back in the 80's. He had a love of cars, and the friendships made with people, and you could see it. In retirement, we stayed in touch, as he did dealer trades, traveling all over the Maritime's picking up vehicles for many dealerships in the county. Bill was always looking sharp, whether he was on the job or not. I was always greeted with a big smile very time we bumped into each other at the mall, it was always great catching up with an old friend! Rest in Peace Bill.

How do you put a lifetime of memories into words? Bill was with Nanny as long as I can remember. When Nanny and Bill would babysit us when we were younger Bill would patiently let me comb his hair, which kept me entertained long enough for him to enjoy part of a Blue Jays game. Bill had a collection of model cars, which the grandchildren admired from afar but never touched. Bill had a love for animals, especially their dog Sparky. Bill loved going out for coffee and treats while meeting up with friends in town. Nanny and Bill were always off on an adventure. I remember Bill calling collect after September 11th happened, to leave a message saying that they made it to their destination safely and would see us in a few weeks. Bill was a gentleman who always had a smile, kind words and nice suntan. Bill will be fondly remembered as my grandfather and I’m glad my daughter will have memories of her great-grandfather. Rest peacefully Bill, we will miss you.
