Obituary of John Dowell

John James Dowell, 79 Hamilton Road passed away on Sunday, December 10 in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. 

Born in New Glasgow on February 13, 1944, he was a son of the late John and Isabel (MacQuarrie) Dowell of Westville. 

John was a  carpenter by trade working for various contractors over the years.  He took a great interest the history of old bottles and was a member of the Pictou County Historical Bottle Club. 

He is survived by his brothers, Carl and Robert and several nieces and nephews. 

John was predeceased by his parents and sister Joyce Bright. 

There will be no visitations or funeral service.
