Many years Mike devoted to VON on the Board of Directors and gave his heart and soul to it and had the respect of staff and volunteers. He was such wonderful volunteer and along with Nancy , they were devoted to the Crohns and Colitis organization.
I will always remember his smile: and his support to me and the Charitable VON programs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you,' Nancy and family. It has been a difficult few years for Mike and all of you but you were there for him as he always was for you. One cannot mention the name ' Mike Hollis' without thinking of the first 30 plus years of WPDH and likewise, you cannot mention the early years of WPDH without thinking of Mike Hollis. To all of his many students, the two were inseparable. He taught me in 1965 in what was the coldest room in the whole school but he warmed the room up with his kindness. All of our 5 children benefitted greatly from Mike's leadership, especially in 4-H and Boy Scouts. If there is a Hall of Fame for volunteers, Mike should be at the top of the class.
