Obituary of Peter Rorison

Peter John Rorison, age 81, passed away February 28, 2024 at the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow, N.S.

Peter was born Jan. 14, 1943 to David and Mary Rorison. 

Peter finished his schooling and joined the Army in 1962 until 1966. He loved sharing his stories about his time spent in Cyprus. After his honorable discharge from the army, Peter lived and worked in Hamilton Ontario for a couple of years. He moved back to Pictou County and went to work for Michelin Tire in Granton for 27 years before retiring.

Peter loved to be outdoors, fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also loved wood working in his shop. He made many beautiful cabinets and note worthy pieces of furniture. He also enjoyed having his close friends and family over on weekends off. He was a wonderful cook and loved entertaining his company. No one ever left hungry. 

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his son David;  sisters , Lena Conway,  Jeannie Brennan, Catherine Mary and Mary Catherine; his brothers, Victor, Robert, Felix and Walter. 

Peter is survived by his son Donald (Crissie) Rorison, brother Wilfred ( Marg) Rorison, 3 grandchildren, Xander, Declan and Jorja Rorison,, sisters-in-law Wilda Rorison and Mary Wood; many nieces and nephews and his friend and companion Judy Sinclair. 

Visitation will be at Eagles Funeral Home on March 3, from 2-4 p.m. 

Burial will be at the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. 

      Rest Easy Peter. You will be missed dearly. ♡
