To Karen’s family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere condolence. Death and grief are so hard especially the first year but our Great God of comfort (2Cor 1:3) has sent his son to show us He will remember our loved ones, just like when Christ remembered Lazarus and resurrected him back to life on earth. (John 11) Christ assured us of this promise at John 5:28,29! May these passages help you to endure with hope!

Karen and I went to school together until I left in grade 5 for New GLasgow. As I live in Halifax but spend summers in Pictou County, I seemed to run into her many times. We met up both going alone to a movie and sat together. Saw her just before she went to Dartmouth. Went to visit her with baking, but during Covid and they would not let me leave the food. I remember Karen as shy and very sweet. My condolences.

Karen and I taught together
Karen was such a good teacher and colleague.
Sam and I always enjoyed our social time with Karen and Lloyd. The love of their three children and grandchildren shone brightly.
Karen was part of the girls and will be missed.
In sympathy. Janet Matheson.
