Marlayne and I were flatmates at the beautiful Marshwinds Apartments in Wolfville for a short time in 1984. I remember her as a good conversationist and conscientious person. I am very sorry to hear of her death.
When a beloved teacher passes, hundreds of former students' hearts sink, then soar, remembering how she gave of herself to them.

Such a shock to read about Marlayne’s passing. We became good friends during our summer school sessions at Acadia, as ADULT students. We laughed a lot and tried to stay in touch through later years but life got too busy.
Our condolences to Dave, Shannon, Shane, grandchildren, brother Frank, and all family members. I will always remember her hearty laugh and her ability to make lemonade out of lemons. She will be badly missed by many …..
