Obituary of Michael Sager

Michael John Sager, age 59, MacKay Street, Westville passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 as the result of a fire at his home. Born in New Glasgow, on August 14, 1951, Mike was a son of the late Donald and Mary (Egan) Sager. Mike survived by his sisters, Janet (Robert) Kikkert, Cornwall, Ont. and Kathleen (Barton) Wainwright, Antigonish; nephews, Timothy and Todd Kikkert, Donald Wainwright, niece, Nicole Wainwright; step daughter, Louise (Michael) MacDonald, New Glasgow; step daughter-in-law, Brenda Webber, Moose River; step grand children, Janice (Eric) Mosley, Cory (Christa) Webber, Maria (Matthew) Sangster, David Webber, Evan Webber, Jaime (Chris) Bush and special family friend, Carol Stewart, New Glasgow. Mike was predeceased by his first wife Hazel Sager; his second wife Cecilia (DeYoung) Webber, step son Raymond, and step daughter Barbara (who passed away with Michael). Cremation has taken place. The Sager family will receive visitor’s on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A memorial service for Michael and Barbara will be held 2 o’clock Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donation’s in Mike’s memory may be made to the Westville Fire Department. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
