To the family,
What a beautiful tribute for a beautiful man.
Death and grief are so hard especially the first year but our Great God of comfort (2Cor 1:3) has sent his son to show us He will remember our loved ones, just like when Christ remembered Lazarus and resurrected him back to life on earth. (John 11) Christ assured us of this promise at John 5:28,29! May these passages help you to endure with hope! With my deepest sympathy.

Lauren and family- my deepest condolences on Gordon’s passing! He was such a quiet, unassuming man. I knew Gordon as part of the Pictou County Brass and Reed where he literally ‘had our backs’ (being the drummer that was all he saw of us)! He will surely be missed. A short life but one well lived. May all your memories and those of others sustain you now and in the future.

Sending you all my deepest condolences on this devastating loss. Gordon and I met at Camp Mush-a-Mush in the mid to late 1980’s when he was the camp lifeguard and I was one of the counsellors. We had lots of fun that summer. I lost my husband in 2017 so my heart goes out to you, Lauren.

I was both shocked saddened to hear of Gord's passing. My memory of Gordon and Lauren is through our shared connection with Pictou County Mariners Swim team, in which each of our respective daughters participated. Yes, Gord was quiet but he was a thinker and a doer with intelligence and wit. Pictou County lost a great guy. Lauren and family, you are in my thoughts.

It took forever to write this, there truly are no words to convey the depth of sadness of Gordon’s passing. Gordon, Gord, Gordo, the great Gordini, so many names we called him but the luckiest one was our friend. He was our calming force (it’s only rubber Peg), our confidant, the one who always mentored and distilled the knowledge he learned over the years in measured doses at just the right pace. He delighted in our progress, doling out equal parts of optimism and brutal reality, our Yoda of PLZ. Never one to withhold a quiet smile, cackle at a well-played pun, or to challenge everyone in our music trivia throw outs. Drumming happy little tunes on his desk - red pen in one hand and a pencil in the other. The bosun of Flight Risk, the quiet teacher of sails, tacks and rigging. Life lessons from the rail. A lot of world problems were solved admidst laughter on an evening of competitive drifting. He loved nothing better than when the wind was up and our crew skills challenged at 10+ knots. He taught so much, but most of all, perspective. He was so proud of you Christine and Lauren. His girls, smart, sassy and sarcastic - oh how he loved you. He will be watching over you both. Our very deepest condolences. Until we sail together again Gordo. Godspeed.

I am very sad to hear of Gord's passing. My condolences to his family. I loved his drumming, and paying close attention to what he was playing in band helped me immensely with how musical timing works. Gord will be sorely missed. But, happily, he gave much to the music community.

Deeply saddened to hear of Gordon's passing. We had daughters close to the same age and had many humorous chats sharing snippets of their lives as they grew up. My lasting memory of Gordon is of him filling in for a drummer in a brass quintet performing at Pictou United Church - totally in his element. Rest in peace, Gord.

So sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. I worked with Gordon in the Michelin planning department. The consumate professional, deeply respected by all he worked with both on a personal and professional level.
He picked his moments to enlighten us with his quick, sharp, well thought out humor.
Gord was truly an old school gentleman and an exceptional human being.
Our thoughts are with the entire family.

Thank you Gordon for my one and only sailing experience which was the best. I know you will be missed by all your many friends and family. Best of all you were the perfect match for Lauren. Christine got to witness true love and respect between her parents. This is a rare thing these days, to grow up in a family full of love and laughter. A steady man is the best kind, even if he doesn't say much. (Maybe that is the added wisdom, to know when to listen).

Two things I will remember about Gordon. The first was a job I had at Michelin
and my predecessor told me that many people will call and ask about the status
of a raw material, if it's Gordon Ingham.. "check it out.. now!. The second was
sailing downwind in a blow. and we needed to jibe. Not everybody was willing or
able to do the maneuver but Gordon would say "what are here for... let's go".
Fair Winds Gord.

Dearest Christine and Lauren,
I am so sorry to read Gordon’s obituary. I had no idea he was fighting a battle with cancer but knowing Gordon I’m sure he fought with all he had.
He was such a great guy. So gentle, quiet and wise & I am thankful to have spent so many happy moments in his presence growing up. From taking us to dances, to watching us laugh over foolishness at your kitchen table, to driving us all over Pictou county for (insert any given activity) he never once complained. Always willing to offer profound and thoughtful advice for any drama we were facing.
I am thinking of you both and holding you in my heart. May the happy memories be comforting for you as you navigate this next chapter. Sending all my love. Big hugs!

It’s hard to put this loss into words. I remember meeting both Lauren and Gordon when we started school together and my first thought was, ‘those two are going to be married’. It breaks my heart the story wasn’t as long as it should have been, but Gordon was one of a kind. He will be fondly remembered and forever missed.

My most sincere condolences to the family. Gord always said I trained on his first position in Z, but in fact over the years he taught me many things during our time working. He was clever, quick to see humour in things and a very dedicated employee. He will be missed by many and remembered as a quiet, kind soul that always talked about his family. That is an example of a very proud family man. Rest in peace my friend, your battle is over.
