Obituary of Doris "Jane" Elizabeth Bond

Doris “Jane” Elizabeth Bond, age 88, of Walkerville Road, Priestville passed away on June 22, 2024 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Peter and Beatrice Cecilia (Garney) Johnstone.

Jane worked for Service Master for many years. She loved to play cards, especially a good hand of poker.

She is survived by sons Sterling Bond (Saundra), Chance Harbour; Kirk Bond (Kim), New Glasgow; daughters Dean Bond, New Glasgow; Donna Bond, Halifax; grandchildren Dustin, Jake, Brandie, Biker; 3 great grandchildren; sister Beatrice Weaver, Halifax; brother Fraser (Lesley) Johnstone, Halifax; sister-in-law Lolly Bond, New Glasgow and many nieces and nephews..

She was predeceased by a son Dino; daughter Valerie; granddaughter Amanda Cochrane Bond; sisters Penny, Ida, Camille, Theresa, Caroline, Wanda, Brenda; brothers Sonny, Norman and Paul; father of her children Ralph Bond.

There will be no visitation or funeral service at Jane’s request. Donations in her memory may be made to The Pictou County Food Bank, the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
