Obituary of Francis Byrne Bowser
It's with profound sadness we are heartbroken to announce the death of our husband, father, papa, grampy, and best buddy Francis Byrne Bowser, affectionately known as Byrne age 79 in Mount Thom on Saturday October 26, 2024 with his family devotedly by his side.
Byrne was born March 10, 1945 to his father Thomas Byrne Bowser and mother Alena Barbara Bowser (Mackinnon)
Byrne grew up with his older brother Mike of Dartmouth, and Bruce (Heather) of Dartmouth. Byrne enjoyed telling tales of running the Dartmouth streets as young boys with his brothers.
Byrne is survived by his wife and sweetheart Gail, just one week shy of their 60th anniversary. Byrne and Gail shared many adventures in their younger years. They worked hard side by side to build their home creating a little nook for many family memories held dear by their children and grandchildren. Byrnes life work and plans continued with a vivid dream of a trip with Gail around their home provinces. It was greatly detailed and continues to give Gail ongoing comfort.
Dad is survived by his only son Mark of Saltsprings, NS, daughters Amy of Middleton NS, Mary Jane (Kiko) of Rothesay NB, Lucy of Pictou NS.
Byrne was Grampy to his greatest grand Jodie, Daniel and Shane. And Papa to Clay, Coral, Courtney, Reilly, Isabella, Maya, Kadence, Rex, Owen, Reyes, Alexa, and 6 great grandchildren.
Papa in his words as 'the best days of his life' alongside Nanny spent precious time caring for and providing a second home to Courtney and Reilly. He was so proud to have his pride and joy Courtney marry his destined to be next best buddy Nathan Shaw at his bedside on October 7, 2024.
Byrne took pride in his family and virtues specifically in his love for animals. All of us that are left behind have a special pet to provide us comfort. Byrne always had a good dog or more with his current "Bubba" Holly who saw him through resting with him while he found his peace. Byrne was reassured to be reunited with his Susie, Jersey, and Winnie and we all hold our own pets close in his honor.
