Obituary of Tammy Layne Snider

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother after a courageous battle with cancer. Tammy Layne Snider 61, of Westville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 13, 2024 with her loving husband at her side.

Tammy was born in Newmarket Ontario on September 28, 1963. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Betty Wood of Mount Thom, Nova Scotia.

Tammy worked at the Royal Bank for over 25 years. She loved her job and met and worked with some incredible people, some of which became her closest friends. Tammy was proud to be a part of the Westville Bethel Baptist Church family.

A loving wife, mother and sister, she will be dearly missed by her husband of 39 years Dan Snider and her son Kristofer Dunbar. Tammy is survived by her brothers Kevin Wood ( Tanya) and Trevor (Crystal) Wood; her father in law Don Snider (Deanna); sister in law Heather Best; brother in laws Donnie (Sherry) Snider and Rick Snider, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and her beloved fur babies Mokka, Simon and Missy.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Sonja Wood, sister in law Holly Best and mother in law Rose Snider.

We are grateful for all the medical care and exceptional support provided during Tammy’s battle. A special thanks to Rachel of the Palliative Care Team and to the team at Lawton’s Drugs Westville for their kindness and care shown to Tammy.

Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday November 19th at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be Wednesday November 20th  at 2 pm from the Bethel Baptist Church in Westville. Burial to follow in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.

Donations in Tammy’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the SPCA or to a charity of one’s choice. Family flowers only please.
