Obituary of Carol Elizabeth MacDonald
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol MacDonald, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Carol passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Carol was a devoted mother who always put her family first. She was a loving wife and a caring sister, always there to offer support, wisdom, and warmth. Her kindness and generosity touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She had a passion for baking, filling her home with the sweet aromas of homemade treats that brought joy to family and friends. Carol also found solace in her garden, where she nurtured beautiful flowers and plants, reflecting her love for nature. A skilled dart player, she enjoyed the friendly competition and camaraderie of the game. Her creativity shone through in her paintings, each one a reflection of her artistic spirit.
Carol was a proud member of the Stellarton Legion, where she found community and friendship. Her presence there, as in all aspects of her life, will be deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Daniel P. MacDonald, as well as her children: Ann Urquhart (Kent), Will Baker (Dee), Jeanine Baker (Sheldon), George MacDonald (Brenda). Siblings: Margaret Chisholm (Don), Irene Gallant (Bill), and Marion Moody (Tom). She was predeceased by her parents Vivian (Tanner) Urquhart and Harrison Urquhart, sisters Norma and Sandra.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Carol’s love and legacy will live on in those she leaves behind. She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
She may be gone from our sight, but she will never be gone from our hearts.
