Obituary of Edward Campbell
Edward Montaque "Chubby" Campbell, age 69 years, Cowan Street, Westville, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Eursten and Gertrude (Sager) Campbell, Westville.
Eddy was affectionately known as "Chubby" to most of his friends. He was a resident of Westville for most of his life, was a member of Sea Cadets as a youth and a militiaman with the North Nova Highlanders in his early 20's He was a welder by trade, first working at I. Matheson & Co. and later at Trenton Works until retirement
He is survived by daughter Kelly (David Lennon), New Glasgow; brother Donnie (Dorothy), Westville; sister, Marg (Jack) MacGillivary, Pictou; niece Sandra, Westville and aunt May Darroch (Reg), Stellarton.
Cremation has taken place. His family will receive visitors on Saturday from 1:00 - 1:45 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2o’clock at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with Father Evo Dipierro officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Holy Name Cemetery in an urn hand crafted by his uncle, Reg Darroch. Donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
