Obituary of Olga MacDonald

Olga Marie MacDonald, 61, Salem, Pictou County passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Hugh R. and Myrtle (Garvin) Campbell, Westville, and a foster daughter of the late Adrian "Duckie" and Florence "Flossie" Campbell, Westville. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Name, Westville. Olga was a loving wife and mother, who adored her grandchildren. Olga will be sadly missed by her husband Burris; sons, Adrian (Rachael), Westville; Albert (Megan), Salem; grandchildren, Braydon and Colton. She is also survived by sisters Charlotte Cech, Minnesota; Florence MacKenzie (Bill), Westville, Nora Harper (Joe), Truro; brother Francis (Cheryl), Lorne; and mother- in-law Florence MacDonald, sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion, Fern, Wayne, Gary, and Albert MacDonald. She was predeceased by sister Isabel Duff; brothers, Charles, Malcolm, Keith, Hugh, Walter, Wilfred and Gerald Campbell and foster brothers Jack and Percy Campbell. Visitations will be held Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Father Evo Dipierro officiating. Spring interment will be in Durham Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice
