Obituary of Jennette Graham

Jennette C. Graham, 91, Rocklin, Pictou County passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 in the Maritime Oddfellows Home, Pictou. Born in Rocklin on Sept. 9,1919, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Christine (MacDonald) Fraser. She lived in Westville for many years where she was involved in various aspects of St. Andrew’s Church. In 1972, she and Erwin returned to the Fraser family home in Rocklin, and resided there until 2003. Due to failing health, they moved to Shiretown Nursing Home in Pictou, and later the Maritime Oddfellow’s Home. Jennnette was a member of Middle River Presbyterian Church, where she was active in church W.M.S. , Ladies Aid and the Women’s Institute . Our mother was a loving, caring individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed making people fell welcomed in her home. After her family was grown up, Mom took the P.C.W. course and enjoyed looking after those committed to her care, while employed at Glen Haven Manor. Jennette is survived by daughters, Carol Muirhead, Truro; Diane Gordon, New Glasgow; Judy Porter (Paul), Green Hill; sons, Lester (Judy), Fredericton, NB; Alan, Stellarton; 11 grand children; 18 great grand children; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Erwin; brothers Wilfred, Alden, Bill ; sister Mary Sutherland; sons-in-law Allan Gordon and Harlin Muirhead; daughter- in-law Laura Graham. Visitations will be held Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held on 2 o’clock Friday at Middle River Presbyterian Church, Rocklin with The Rev. Gary Tonks officiating. Spring interment will be in Birch Hill Cemetery, Rocklin.
