Obituary of Doug Logan

Douglas Irving Logan, age 70, Acadia Avenue, Stellarton, formerly of Foxbrook Road, Westville, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John A. and Mabel (Heighton) Logan. He had worked for the Department of Highways until his retirement. Doug was an affiliate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35 Westville. Doug will be sadly missed by his girls: Sherry Gower, Alma; Beverley Thorne (Bob), Coalburn; and Donna Logan, Westville; 10 grandchildren: Bradley, Jonathan, Ashley, and Daniel; Tracey and Christopher; Micheal, Danielle, Misty, and Lacie; seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Jackaleen Logan, Stellarton. He was predeceased by his former wife, Sharon (Wilson); his sister, Kathaleen Fraser; brothers, David Heighton and Norman Logan and infant brother, Trueman. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in the MacLeod Cemetery, Fox Brook.
