Obituary of Anna Kyle

Anna Elizabeth Kyle, 79, Bennett St., New Glasgow passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2011, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family at her side. Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Ranald and Viola (Garvin) Carrigan. Mrs. Kyle was a clerk at Goodman Company Ltd. for over 35 years until its closure. After her retirement, she liked working in her rose garden and spending time with her girls at the Wednesday Night Card Club. Her greatest enjoyment however, was the time spent with her children, grand children and great grand children. She will be sadly missed by her daughters and sons: Cheryl (Brian) Didsbury, MacLellan’s Brook; Bobby (Kathy) Kyle and Liz MacLeod, New Glasgow; Greg Kyle, at home and Dennis Kyle, Halifax; grandchildren: Melissa Mosher and Corey Didsbury; Jason, Brandon and Kayla Kyle; Amanda, Christine and John MacLeod; Charlotte Lloyd; great-grand children, Milly , Austin, Emma and Lucy. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Marchant, North Dakota; Theresa Carrigan, New Glasgow and Thelma Green, Ontario; brothers Vernon and Carl Carrigan, New Glasgow and brother-in law Allan Campbell. Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband, John "Jack" Kyle; son-in law Doug MacLeod; daughter-in law, Cheryl Kyle and sister, Agnes Campbell. Cremation has taken place. Her family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will be held 11 am Wednesday from the Church of The Holy Name, Westville. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Thorburn. Family flowers only, Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association or the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia.
