Obituary of Betty Ann Imlay
Betty Ann Imlay, 47, of Douglas Road, Green Hill, formerly of Westville, occurred on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at her home.
Born in New Glasgow, she is a daughter of Margaret "Peggy" (MacIntosh) MacKenzie and step-daughter of John Hector MacKenzie, Westville.
She was a former employee with the Pictou Advocate. Betty Ann was a loving and outgoing person who always enjoyed the company of her family and friends. She greatly enjoyed her pet dog Jersey, but her greatest love was for her husband, children and grandchildren.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Joseph "Joe"; daughters Elizabeth Spears (Jonathan), Crapaud, PEI; Jennifer, at home; son Donald (Ashley), Windsor, NS; grandchildren, Jonny and Max Spears, and Rachael Imlay ; brothers, John Langille (Lisa Lloyd), Stewiacke; Rob Langille (Alanna), Pictou; half brothers and sisters, Debbie and Jonathan, Cape Breton; and Doreen, Darlene, and Gregory, Ontario; grandmother Margaret MacIntosh, Westville; brother in law Robert Imlay, Westville, and sister in law Catherine Groves (Bob), Little Harbour.
She was predeceased by her father Milton Langille; grandparents, Alexander MacIntosh; Milton and Helen Langille; and Jack and Kay MacKenzie.
Visitations will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held 3:30 p.m. Saturday from St. Paul United Church, Westville with the Rev Bonnie Fraser officiating. Cremation will follow.
