Obituary of Sally Rumley
Sarah Anne "Sally" Rumley, of Westville. It is with saddened hearts, we the family announce the passing of our mom Sally, in her 69th year, on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax.
Born on May 10, 1942, she is a daughter of Dorothy (Campbell) Taylor (Alex MacLellan), Westville, and the late James Taylor.
Sally was an employee of Michelin Tire Corp. for 33 years, until retirement. She was a member of St. Paul United Church and a former member of the Ladies Aux. of the Westville Fire Dept., and past President of the Dunvegan Girls Pipe Band.
Sally will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Donna MacDonald (Charles) and Leta Jordan (A.J.), Westville; her sister Theresa Palmer (James), Union Centre; grandchildren, Krystal, Lacey (Dennis), Nicole (Jake), Allister (Jennifer), and Taylor; her special great-grand kids, Landon and Wesley; and former husband Donald "Donnie" Rumley.
She was predeceased by an infant grandchild Jamie Lee.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her memorial service will take place on Saturday at 1 p.m. Saturday from the Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with the Rev. Bonnie Fraser officiating.
