Obituary of Kathleen MacDonald

Kathleen Marion MacDonald , 88, Drummond Road, Westville, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2011 in Valley View Villa, Riverton Born in Westville, May 7, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Dora (Rowsell) Oldford. Kathleen and her husband were caretakers of the Stellarton Town Hall and Police Station, for many years while reside at its upper level. She a member of the Rebekah Lodge receiving her 50 year pin. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, T.V., especially Northwood broadcasts and old movies, had a fondness for her pet cats and had a great love for her family and friends. Kathleen is survived by her son, George (Carol), Westville; two grandchildren, Brian, Westville and Valerie, Halifax; and three great-grandchildren, Cameron , Devon, and Madison. She was predeceased by her husband, Kempt; sisters, Lillian Oldford, Nell Hill, Bessie MacLeod, Tena Cyr, and Winnie Hilton and brothers, Allan, Samson, Garland, Kater and Albert Oldford. Visitations were held 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service was held 3:30 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 15 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Charles MacPherson officiating. Burial was in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Donations in her memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. .
