Obituary of Ross MacKenzie

H. Ross MacKenzie – 49 of Maple Street Westville passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 16, 2011 in the QE II Hospital, Halifax. Ross was born in New Glasgow, a son of Kay (Miller) MacKenzie, Westville and Lloyd MacKenzie, Canning. He was an employee of Glen Haven Manor for the past 4 years and was previously employed with Cowan Street Car Wash. Ross was an active community volunteer with St. John’s Ambulance, the Salvation Army. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 35 Westville and a former of the Nova Scotia Highlanders. Besides his parents he will be sadly missed by his wife Elda (Daley); daughters, Sarah and Katelynn, at home; sisters, Helen, Winnipeg and Velvet, Hamilton, Ont.; brothers, Kenny (Mary), Canning; Kirk (Michelle), Halifax; Keith (Karen), Illinois; grand mother, Beatrice MacKenzie, Westville; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Visitations were held on Sunday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His funeral service was be held 2 o’clock Monday Dcember 19, 2011 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Captain Neil Abbott officiating.
