Obituary of Queenie Boggs

Queenie Eloise Boggs, Mark Road, Fox Brook formerly of the Westville Road, passed away in the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital on Dec. 17, 2011 surrounded by her family. Queenie is survived by her children: Doris Langille (Kenny), Halifax; Isabelle (John) Hawley, Eastern Passage; Ivy (Sydney) Varner, St. George, NB; Christena (David) Halliday, Mark Road; Allan White, Riverton; Gerry White (Darlene) Westville, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Queenie was like a second Mom to Johnny Zugay and Rose Rundle. Queenie loved to go to church when she was visiting with her daughter Isabelle in Dartmouth. She also liked to collect articles from the local newspaper archives and listening to Gaither Gospel Music and the Northwood Seniors Program . The joy of her life was her family. Born at home in New Glasgow, NS on June 16, 1922, Queenie was a daughter of the late Kathleen (Weir) Harper, and George Frederick Harper. She was predeceased by her spouses, Kitchener Langille, William White, and Alex Boggs, as well as by three of her children: Kitchener Langille Jr. and William Langille, and Ruth White (Howard). Visitations were held on Monday . at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service was held December 20 at EaglesFuneral Chapel, Westville. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery. Reception will follow in the Eureka Fire Hall. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Canadian Diabetic Association or the S.P.C.A. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
