Mom’s greatest joy was her family. She was an amazing cook and she and Dad loved having a crowd to feed. She was loyal and cherished her many friends; had a positive attitude and great sense of humour and even in her final days managed to make us laugh with her quick wit. She was a Charter Member of the Holy Name CWL and for many years directed the church choir. Mom loved the outdoors, was an avid curling fan and an active member of the Westville Curling Club until 1999. Mom has donated her body to Dalhousie Medical Research so will continue to help change people’s lives even after her death. There will be a memorial mass and reception in celebration of mom’s life on Saturday, January 7 at 11AM at the Holy Name Parish, North Main Street, Westville, with a reception to follow at the Parish Hall. Donations in Mom’s memory can be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, the VON or a charity of one’s choice.
