Obituary of Dorothy Lambly

Dorothy Isabel Lambly, 93, of Westville, passed away peacefully, into the arms of her Lord on March 1, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born on January 6, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Ida and George Speidel of Lunenburg, NS She was the last living relative of the Speidel family. She was a lifetime member of the Gospel Hall, New Glasgow and enjoyed gardening and knitting in her earlier years. Surviving are her son Dwight (Agnes), Salt Springs; daughters Beverly Rorison (Harold DeMont), Linacy; and Ferne and Faye, Westville; 3 grand-daughters, Sherry Lynn Redding, Cindy Giasson, and Kelly Kehagias; 1 grandson, Jason Lambly; 3 great grand-daughters and 2 great-great grand daughters. She was predeceased by her husband Archibald William Lambly; son Archie; brothers and sisters, Vernon, Eldred, Doyle, Gordon, Naaman, Irene, Florence, Beatrice, Margie, and Lucille. Visitations were held on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service was held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. March 4 from Eagles Funeral Chapel, with Bill Watson officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the N.S. Heart and Stroke Foundation.
