Obituary of Donald MacEachern
Donald Patrick MacEachern, age 76, MacPhersons Mills, passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born and raised in Westville, he was a son of the late Patrick Thomas and Mary Margaret (McLaughlin) MacEachern.
Donnie served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1953-1959, and was a member of the Br.#34 Royal Canadian Legion, New Glasgow. He was employed at the Aberdeen Hospital, until his retirement.
Donald will be sadly missed by his wife Rosalee (Holmes); children, Howard (Kat), Dartmouth; Hughie (Jenn), New Glasgow; Bill (Katie), Truro; Robyn (Nathan), New Glasgow, George, Edmonton; step-daughter Darlene Rector (Terry), Mt. William; grandchildren, Chelsea, Brendan, Alyssia, Faith, Matthew, Haley, and Karissa; sisters, Dolorosa Morrison (Robert), Union Centre; Marguerite Morrison (Joseph), Union Centre; Carol MacDonald, Edmonton; brother Wayne, Edmonton; and several nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased, by an infant daughter Lydia; sisters, Helene Boyce, Loretta Martin and Brenda Martin and brothers, William, Vernon, Roddie, Norbert. and John MacEachern.
His funeral service was held at 2 o’clock Thursday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Norman Marple and Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Spring interment will be in MacPhersons Mills Cemetery.
