Obituary of Mabel Copp
Mabel Irene Copp, of Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, on April 9, 2012 at age 84.
Born on February 13, 1928, in Londonderry Mines, Colchester Co., she was the daughter of the late James and Eunice (Boutilier) Copp. She attended school in Londonderry and later graduated with a business school certificate from Pictou Academy.
Mabel was employed at the CNR station in New Glasgow and later as an office person for a local construction company, working primarily in Newfoundland. She was a very private person, always displaying a quick wit. Mabel valued the friendship and support of her immediate family.
The last member of her immediate family, Mabel is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Inez Murray (Fraser); Cora Davidson (Ross); Bessie Kennedy (Sid); Mary Ross (Russell) , (second husband Herman Felderhof); Carrie Brantner (Robert); and brothers, Allie, Clayton and Edgar Copp.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held 11 am Thursday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with Captains Neil and Delores Abbott officiating. Interment was in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care and support provided by the staff of Glen Haven Manor.
